This module works through three layers. It begins with the foundational skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, which enable you to understand, express and exchange ideas effectively. Building on that foundation are professional communication competencies — business writing, presentations, interview skills, meeting etiquette, customer interaction, networking and digital communication — which equip you for authentic workplace situations. The final layer comprises employability attributes: confidence, teamwork, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, adaptability, leadership, problem-solving, ethical communication and professionalism.
Together, these three layers transform communication from a language skill into a career skill, and bridge one of the biggest gaps in Indian education — the distance between academic achievement and workplace readiness.

Layer 1 · Foundational skills
Active listening, spoken fluency, reading for purpose, and writing with structure.
Layer 2 · Professional communication
Business writing, presentations, interview skills, meeting etiquette, customer interaction, networking and digital communication.
Layer 3 · Employability attributes
Confidence, teamwork, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, adaptability, leadership, problem-solving, ethical communication and professionalism.
Capstone
A workplace communication scenario carried end to end, assessed across all three layers.
